God's Children's Home

God's Children's Home was established in 2012 in a small village along the Dolores River of Eastern Samar, Philippines and is part of River of Life Mission, founded by Fely Kooistra. God's Children's Home shelters up to 50 orphaned children ranging from infancy to adolescence. Our children who were once abandoned, abused and neglected are now well loved, well taught and well cared for by our dedicated River of Life Mission team members.

Poverty is widespread in the Philippines and almost half the country's children live below the poverty line. In many cases families cant afford to feed and educate their children and are either forced to work, starve, or left on the streets or in some good cases, given up for adoption. In other cases parents have died in acts of violence, accidents or natural disasters like typhoons and flooding with children left as only survivors. Some children are born unwanted and often parents either abandon them or abuse them.

We have found many of these poor children during our daily outreaches to surrounding villages around Dolores of Eastern Samar, Philippines. We then adopt them, take them in and provide food, clothes, medical care and provide education as well as young adult qualifications so they can grow and live to their full potential.

God's Children's Home is a registered non-governmental organisation. As we do not receive any government or agency support we rely heavily on the generous support of individual sponsors around the world. We want to thank all those who have contributed in the past and who still contribute today for all the difference you have made and enabled us to do for these children.

"Do not forget the Levites in your town, because they have no land of their own among you. At the end of every third year, everyone should bring one-tenth of that year’s crop and store it in your towns. This is for the Levites so they may eat and be full. (They have no land of their own among you.) It is also for strangers, orphans, and widows who live in your towns so that all of them may eat and be full. Then the Lord your God will bless you and all the work you do." - Deuteronomy 14:27-29
